Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Sunday all!  It’s a beautiful day here in Northern Virginia, and He has risen!  This week has been a slow reading week for me to begin the month of April.  I only managed to complete my weekly reading for the Bleak House read-along and managed to make my weekly post the other day.

This month, I have modest goals.  I will continue reading Charles Dickens’s Bleak House, and Aristotle’s The Metaphysics.  Outside of reading, I have quite a bit going on for some on-going projects around the house that I need to get done.  I have to put the finishing touches on my basement bathroom and get a heck of a lot of yardwork/landscaping done this month.

Along with those items, as with every April, the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin!  My Capitals did make the playoffs, and we’ve gotten Boston in the first round, and I’m looking forward to, what will hopefully be, a better playoff season for the Caps than last season.  Those games, of course, will divert my time from reading.

Also, coming up this month, I’m going to be announcing some changes to Beltwayliterature, and I hope it will re-invigorate my journey here, as I begin a new chapter, not only with my reading, but my personal life as well, with Baby #1 on the way.

I hope everyone has a fantastic Easter Sunday with family and friends!

  1. Sounds like you have a lot to look forward to…hope you enjoy it all.

I’m still working away on the TBR stacks and a few review books. Have a great day!

    Here’s MY SUNDAY SALON POST

    • Yeah, I sure hope I can get all of it taken care of by the end of the month as I’d like to spend most of May without having any household projects to take care of, and instead, just get the remaining things we’ll need for the arrival of the baby. We’ll see though! Thanks for dropping by!

  2. Happy Easter! The weather here was terrible so we had to stay inside.
    Best wishes for the baby!

  3. Best wishes for the baby and the Caps. Go Caps! http://www.thecuecard.com/

  4. I’m curious about the coming changes. 🙂 Happy Easter, Jeremy!
